- Press Ctrl+Alt+Del keys to bring up the “Close Program” window, highlight “Kudo Catalog Reader” and click on the End Task button. Then go to the Start button and select Run. In the Open box, type: x:\win_kudo\setup32\Setup.exe, replacing the letter ‘x’ with the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive and the press the OK button. Once the program has been installed, re-start your computer.

- How do I find a particular image without having to go through all of the pictures?
- Click on the Find button at the top. This will open the “Find Image” window. Click on the arrow to the right of the box that says “Everything” and select “Notes.” The middle box will then say “Contains.” In the right hand box, type your selection such as “Advent,” “Christmas,” etc., and then click on the Find button located on the “Find Image” box. This will find all of the images pertaining to the subject you have chosen. The search engine is very specific in the way it searches, and if you are not sure how to enter your select, such as a Sunday in Ordinary Time, go up to View and select List. To the right of each image is a text which may give you a clearer idea of how to enter the search criteria.
- How do I get a picture into my document?
- Double-click on the image. This will open the image viewer. Go to File->Edit and select Copy. Then, in your word processing program or bulletin creation program, go up to File->Edit and select Paste. All image resizing and formatting should be done in your word processing program, not in the clip art program.
If the program you are using is “OLE” (Object, Linking and Embedding) compatible, such as Microsoft Word or Word Perfect, you may drag and drop. Open the Word or WP program and resize the screen so that you can see both the image and the word processing program. Single click on the image you want to move and drag it over to the document and drop it in. As the cursor moves over the document, it should change to a square with an arrow.
How do I install Religious Clip Art for the Liturgical Year or Clip Art for Parish Life on Windows Vista?
- These products run on Windows Vista™; however, you may need to use Vista's Program Compatibility Wizard. In an effort to get older programs to run, this Wizard will allow you to apply various settings over multiple attempts. If the settings you selected on your first attempt do not work, the Wizard will return to the beginning if you'd like to try others.
To find the Wizard, follow this path:
Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Use an older program with this version of Windows.
If the Wizard does not locate your program in the CD Drive, choose to locate the program manually. Browse to the CD Drive and select STARTUP.EXE.
As you step through the Wizard, select "Do not apply a compatibility mode". Do not select any display settings. Select "Run as administrator." You may see a dialog box that alerts you that "An unidentified program wants access to your computer." Choose "Allow" and proceed with installing Kudo. When the Kudo opening menu is displayed, click the Install icon (top left).
If you you receive the informational alert "Checking your hard drive for other Kudo executables. Please wait...", click the OK button without waiting. If you receive the informational alert "Starting Installation under Windows95 or NT", click the OK button.
Compatibility failure for this program is typically indicated by two error messages: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Association control panel." and "Set is unable to run a program needed to proceed with the installation. Restart your system and try again." Click OK to both of these messages, but don't follow their instructions. Instead, return to the beginning of the Program Compatibility Wizard and try different settings.
